Role Overview
HSDiT program provides advancement opportunity for Oakmont team members
Trainees gain a comprehensive understanding of managing a team as a Health Services Director
Completing department training followed by gaining on-the-job experience under a current Health Services Director
The program takes three months depending on candidate's prior experience
No budgeted position filled during the program
Next assignment may include a Health Services Director position, management in new property, or placement as a Floating Health Services Director in stable properties.
Requirements
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Minimum of six months in current position at Oakmont
Prefer two (2) years experience as a Licensed Nurse
One (1) years experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
California LVN or RN License in good standing
Must be willing to travel throughout the state during training
Must be open to relocation for a permanent position
Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership
Prior experience coaching or mentoring peers preferred
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Passion for serving older adults
Able to work with seniors and interact patiently with cognitively impaired individuals
Proficient in basic computer systems
Ability to learn electronic health records and other Company tools
Able to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, and coworkers
Able to adapt and respond to change
Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Must be coachable, highly motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively
Able to obtain and maintain valid First Aid and CPR as needed
Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Health Screening tests.
