Own the Library’s two primary fundraising events – Library Lions and the Library Lunch
Event programming and implement ways to increase event-related fundraising revenue
Teach donors and event attendees about The New York Public Library’s mission
Engage with donors and honorees at events as well as via email and phone correspondence
Manage the Library’s two primary fundraising events – Library Lions and the Library Lunch
Produce all printed and electronic materials for events, including invitations, programs, websites, and donor letters
Research relevant and engaging event speakers and donor prospects
Develop and implement outreach and solicitation strategies for Development Events
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
5-7 years related experience; fundraising experience required
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders
A proven record of creating and fostering excellent relationships with all levels of staff, donors, and the public, and the ability to exercise good judgment
Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, and reliability
Proficient experience using Raiser’s Edge or other comparable CRM programs
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and a working knowledge of social media
High degree of initiative, organization, and follow-through
Able to work independently and effectively under pressure
Superior written communication and interpersonal skills.
