You will locally deploy global and regional procurement strategies and ensure their execution is aligned with site priorities and business plans.
You will develop and implement sourcing strategies for spend categories not covered by GE’s preferred suppliers.
You will lead cost-reduction, productivity and cash-improvement initiatives through supplier negotiations, process improvements and sustainable cost controls, working closely with Finance and site stakeholders.
You will manage the end-to-end procurement process for CAPEX and indirect spend, including preparing tender documentation, aligning specifications, evaluating suppliers, negotiating and contracting to secure the best value in terms of cost, quality and lead time.
You will oversee and support operational procurement activities, including supplier onboarding, support for Statements of Work (SOWs), managing billing and payment escalations, maintaining supplier data, and handling escalations related to quality and delivery issues.
You will encourage the use of GE’s preferred suppliers and collaborate with Commodity Leaders and Category Management teams to address currently unsupported procurement needs.
You will ensure compliance with procurement and sourcing policies, contribute to audit preparation and ensure alignment with company, customer and regulatory requirements.
You will partner with Indirect Procurement Managers, Commodity Leaders, Category teams and local operations leaders to leverage synergies, strengthen supplier management and generate cost savings and cash-flow improvements.
You will contribute to global procurement initiatives, share best practices and participate in enhancing procurement processes, tools and stakeholder experience.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement, business, engineering or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 7 years of progressive procurement experience, ideally in indirect procurement or CAPEX within a complex or international industrial environment.
Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation and contract management, with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable savings in cost, productivity and cash.
Strong experience managing major indirect spend categories, ideally including temporary labor, engineering services and complex Statements of Work, covering both time-and-materials/regie contractual models and work-deliverable or lot-based contracts.
Strong procurement analytics, data-driven decision-making and spend management skills, with an analytical mindset and the ability to translate data into concrete sourcing actions.
Strong commercial and contractual acumen, with a proven ability to structure, negotiate and manage contracts that support business objectives and risk control.
Good understanding of international business practices, procurement processes and cross-functional stakeholder management in a matrix organization.
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across functions, cultures and seniority levels.
