About this role
Role Overview
Reporting to the Vice-President, Territories and Customer Experience, the Senior Director of Operations for the hospitality and food services sector ensures the strategic and operational alignment of the network
Contribute to the ownership, execution and monitoring of the 2025–2030 strategic plan and the sector’s three-year action plans by site management
Translate the organization’s strategic directions into operational priorities and network-wide action levers while respecting the diversity of local contexts
Foster an agile, matrixed, inclusive, high-performing and positive working dynamic within the directorate and in interactions with other administrative units of Sépaq
Serve as a bridge between field operations and strategic decision-making bodies
Set the directorate’s strategies and objectives to ensure organizational coherence, communicate them and ensure their follow-up
Support sites in implementing operating standards and efficient operational practices
Coordinate resources among sites, adjudicate conflicting requests and adjust schedules according to field constraints and lessons learned
Ensure the sharing of innovative practices, facilitate learning circles and inter-site collaboration, encourage idea generation, and support collective initiatives and local experiments
Guide sites through policies, procedures and legislation and follow up on internal audit files
Analyze the needs of the directorate and prepare requests for the attention of the vice-presidency
Identify and implement tools and processes to improve the efficiency and performance of sites, including robust hotel systems
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
Any combination of education and experience deemed relevant will be considered
At least ten years of experience managing hotel and restaurant operations, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role with demonstrable achievements in planning, managing, directing and controlling operations
Leadership, strategic vision and political acumen
Sense of urgency and versatility
Availability for regular travel depending on the season and emergencies
Availability on weekends (occasionally)
