Senior Director – Operations, Hospitality and Food Services

Role Overview

• Reporting to the Vice-President, Territories and Customer Experience, the Senior Director of Operations for the hospitality and food services sector ensures the strategic and operational alignment of the network
• Contribute to the ownership, execution and monitoring of the 2025–2030 strategic plan and the sector’s three-year action plans by site management
• Translate the organization’s strategic directions into operational priorities and network-wide action levers while respecting the diversity of local contexts
• Foster an agile, matrixed, inclusive, high-performing and positive working dynamic within the directorate and in interactions with other administrative units of Sépaq
• Serve as a bridge between field operations and strategic decision-making bodies
• Set the directorate’s strategies and objectives to ensure organizational coherence, communicate them and ensure their follow-up
• Support sites in implementing operating standards and efficient operational practices
• Coordinate resources among sites, adjudicate conflicting requests and adjust schedules according to field constraints and lessons learned
• Ensure the sharing of innovative practices, facilitate learning circles and inter-site collaboration, encourage idea generation, and support collective initiatives and local experiments
• Guide sites through policies, procedures and legislation and follow up on internal audit files
• Analyze the needs of the directorate and prepare requests for the attention of the vice-presidency
• Identify and implement tools and processes to improve the efficiency and performance of sites, including robust hotel systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
• Any combination of education and experience deemed relevant will be considered
• At least ten years of experience managing hotel and restaurant operations, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role with demonstrable achievements in planning, managing, directing and controlling operations
• Leadership, strategic vision and political acumen
• Sense of urgency and versatility
• Availability for regular travel depending on the season and emergencies
• Availability on weekends (occasionally)
