Manage and deliver transportation planning projects such as corridor studies, multimodal plans, active transportation plans, transit studies, safety studies, and long‑range transportation plans
Serve as a primary client contact for public-sector agencies (municipalities, MPOs, counties, DOTs)
Coordinate with internal disciplines including engineering, environmental, GIS, and public engagement teams
Lead project schedules, budgets, and scope; ensure quality control and on-time delivery
Prepare and review technical memoranda, reports, grant applications, and planning documents
Support public engagement efforts including stakeholder meetings, workshops, and public presentations
Mentor junior planning staff and support their professional development
Contribute to proposals, scope development, and business development efforts
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field
AICP certification
7+ years of professional experience in planning roles
Demonstrated experience managing transportation or mobility-focused planning projects
Strong understanding of public-sector transportation processes, policies, and funding
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Experience with MPO planning, DOT coordination, or federal/state transportation programs
Familiarity with multimodal planning, Complete Streets, safety planning, or active transportation
Experience supporting grant writing or discretionary funding programs (e.g., federal or state grants)
