Review architectural, structural, and MEP construction drawings to determine the information required for BIM/VDC deliverables.
Identify and document dependencies between project inputs (drawings, RFIs, submittals, vendor information) and downstream modeling or 2D coordination deliverables.
Analyze construction drawing sets, specifications, and schedules to determine which inputs apply to specific deliverables.
Utilizing project’s document management system to encode and maintain relationships between project inputs and deliverables.
Identify missing or incomplete information in construction documents that could impact downstream deliverables.
Collaborate with internal modeling teams to validate dependencies and ensure accuracy of tracked information.
Support updates to the project’s document management system as drawings, RFIs, and submittals are issued or revised.
Ensure dependency mappings are consistent, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.
Assist with maintaining documentation standards and quality control for dependency data.
Requirements
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings across multiple trades.
Ability to interpret plans, details, schedules, and specifications.
Understanding of how construction documentation translates to modeling, coordination, and field installation.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify relationships between project inputs and deliverables.
High attention to detail and accuracy when documenting information.
Familiarity with submittal and shop drawing workflows.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
Proficiency in spreadsheet-based tracking tools and construction software (Procore, ClickUp, or similar tools preferred).
