Supervisor, Gearing Inside Sales and Application Engineering

Role Overview

• Performs supervisory duties for the gearing inside sales support and application engineering team
• Has direct responsibility for all assigned team members
• Provides team feedback and solutions to management
• Instills a focus on customer service to all team members
• Effectively evaluates and adjusts team workload
• Reviews current processes and finds solutions to improve
• Increases effectiveness by providing tools, training, and standardized processes
• Implements training programs and procedure changes
• Interacts with all other department Supervisors/Managers
• Participates in special projects
• Engages in direct sales and application activities
• Regularly mentors junior team members

Requirements

• Bachelors degree, Engineering
• Strong knowledge of sales and customer service concepts
• People Management
• Phone etiquette for customer interaction
• Technical aptitude (electrical and mechanical)
• Understanding of industrial applications, as appropriate for specific product groups
• Some finance experience is highly beneficial
• Microsoft Office
• Breadth and depth of knowledge of customer needs, industry trends, and market forces
