About this role
Role Overview
Ensure that all learners in California obtain the knowledge, skills, experiences, and networks needed to connect with meaningful work, expand career options, and increase economic and social mobility.
Support the execution of contracts with awardees, ensure appropriate use of funds, provide guidance to awardees, review and approve awardee invoices, perform report analysis, and capture lessons and successes to be shared internally and externally.
Provides oversight of assigned awardees and projects, including negotiating contract scopes and budgets, reviewing invoices, monitoring fiscal and program compliance and performance, and providing one-on-support for awardees.
Leads program reporting and award management activities for assigned awardees and projects, including providing guidance to awardees, reviewing reports, summarizing data, and ensuring alignment with related guidance and regulations.
Tracks project/award specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), business development relationships, and may develop and coordinate funding application processes in collaboration with Senior Specialist.
Requirements
Strong project management skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and deliver quality products within agreed upon timeframes, with limited supervision.
Experience with the California Community College system and/or Workforce Development preferred.
Ability to research, analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex topics to a variety of internal and external audiences, in a variety of formats (e.g. toolkits, reports, graphic displays, presentations).
Experience with project and client management software (e.g., Asana, Salesforce) preferred.
Experience with Excel required.
Experience with grants administration from a funder's perspective.
Familiarity with state and federal funding.
Willingness to engage in constructive discussion (including disagreement) and keep a good sense of humor.
A customer service mindset.
Possession of a valid California Driver’s License, good driving record, automobile insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle is required.
