Role Overview
- Manages an inventory of highly complex specialty claims
- Ensures exceptional customer service by managing all aspects of the claim
- Verifies coverage and establishes timely reserves
- Leads focused investigations to determine compensability and liability
- Resolves claims by developing and executing claim resolution strategies
- Establishes and manages claim budgets
- Addresses subrogation/salvage opportunities or potential fraud occurrences
- Achieves quality standards by managing claims accurately and timely
- Keeps senior leadership informed of significant risks and losses
- Maintains subject matter expertise and compliance with regulations
- Mentors and trains less experienced Claim Professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum six years of relevant experience, preferably in claim handling and litigation
- Prior negotiation experience
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire, where applicable
- Experience interpreting complex specialty insurance policies and coverage
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn business-related software
