Delivering and managing technical studies/projects.
Designing of mechanical processes, from strategic and conceptual phases to detailed design and construction & commissioning phase support. Typical deliverables that will be issued: technical note, substantiation notes, mechanical flow diagrams and flow-sheets, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and mechanical layout drawings, hazards and malfunctions management, technical specification documentation review from supply chain.
Technical studies related to mechanical handling for both handling operations and heavy mechanical transfer systems, powder mechanical processes (transport, milling, and compaction) in high active environment and gloveboxes, compaction and mechanical dismantling technologies.
Technical networking with experts.
Close working relationships with other sites and client sites may be required, which necessitates regular travel to those sites (dependent upon project).
Requirements
Have a BEng (Hons) or MEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering.
Have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a Process Engineer on a Nuclear site or a highly regulated site.
Associate member or the IChemE working towards Chartership.
Experienced in supporting the production & development of process discipline documents and demonstrating the capability to work within a team.
Experienced in supporting process engineering coordination tasks as part of a team, demonstrating the capability to work within a team.
The successful candidate must, by the start of employment, have permission to work in the UK, and be willing to undergo a security vetting process. Offers of employment will be subject to relevant security clearance being granted. Travel to other offices and client sites may be necessary. You should be willing to work flexibly to accommodate project and client requirements.
