Manage the end-to-end relationship with recovery suppliers, including collection agencies, legal partners, and specialty servicers.
Establish and oversee performance frameworks, SLAs, KPIs, and scorecards to drive recovery outcomes and supplier accountability.
Monitor supplier performance across recovery metrics, compliance standards, and customer experience indicators.
Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure suppliers adhere to regulatory requirements (FDCPA, Reg F, UDAAP) and internal policies.
Lead supplier onboarding, due diligence, audits, and ongoing oversight activities.
Identify opportunities to optimize recovery strategies, placement logic, segmentation, and supplier mix.
Support contract negotiations, renewals, and cost management efforts for recovery suppliers.
Manage escalations, issue resolution, and corrective action plans related to supplier performance or compliance concerns.
Develop reporting and insights for leadership on recovery performance, risks, and strategic opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supplier management processes and tools.
Requirements
6–10+ years of experience in operations, recovery, collections supplier management, or related roles within consumer lending, FinTech, or financial services.
Strong understanding of recovery and post-charge-off collections strategies.
Deep knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements impacting recovery activities.
Proven experience managing third-party suppliers and performance-driven contracts.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret recovery data and supplier metrics.
Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
Excellent communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
