About this role
Role Overview
- Identify, analyze and evaluate acquisition opportunities and co-development partnerships in the large-scale battery storage sector
- Manage and support M&A and transaction processes — from initial approach through signing and closing
- Conduct market, competitor and profitability analyses to support strategic investment decisions
- Develop and maintain financial models, business cases and decision documents for management and investors
- Participate in contract negotiations with project developers, investors, owners and strategic partners
- Coordinate internal stakeholders as well as external advisors and law firms, particularly in the context of due diligence processes
- Work closely with Finance, Legal, Development, Delivery and Operations to provide a holistic assessment of projects and investments
- Build and maintain a relevant network in energy storage, infrastructure and renewables
Requirements
- Completed degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Energy Economics, Finance, Law or a comparable field
- 3–5 years of professional experience in M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Management, infrastructure transactions or energy investments
- Experience structuring and valuing transactions and a solid understanding of equity and contractual structures
- Proficient in financial modelling and economic analysis
- Ideally experience in the energy, infrastructure or renewables sector
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, self-directed working style
- Excellent communication skills, negotiation ability and a confident manner when engaging with external partners
- Willingness to travel regularly to our Munich location
- Fluent German and very good English
