About this role
Role Overview
Identify, analyze and evaluate acquisition opportunities and co-development partnerships in the large-scale battery storage sector
Manage and support M&A and transaction processes — from initial approach through signing and closing
Conduct market, competitor and profitability analyses to support strategic investment decisions
Develop and maintain financial models, business cases and decision documents for management and investors
Participate in contract negotiations with project developers, investors, owners and strategic partners
Coordinate internal stakeholders as well as external advisors and law firms, particularly in the context of due diligence processes
Work closely with Finance, Legal, Development, Delivery and Operations to provide a holistic assessment of projects and investments
Build and maintain a relevant network in energy storage, infrastructure and renewables
Requirements
Completed degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Energy Economics, Finance, Law or a comparable field
3–5 years of professional experience in M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Management, infrastructure transactions or energy investments
Experience structuring and valuing transactions and a solid understanding of equity and contractual structures
Proficient in financial modelling and economic analysis
Ideally experience in the energy, infrastructure or renewables sector
Strong analytical skills and a structured, self-directed working style
Excellent communication skills, negotiation ability and a confident manner when engaging with external partners
Willingness to travel regularly to our Munich location
Fluent German and very good English
