Responsible for developing and delivering the services required to meet client needs for standards documents.
Manages their team to optimize the use of expertise and resources entrusted to them.
Actively contributes to BNQ senior leadership, participating in the definition of directions and strategies, the setting of overall objectives, and the development of action plans.
Also accountable for the standards catalog of their division and for ensuring the proper functioning of the standards committees reporting to their team.
Defines the strategic direction for standardization activities in alignment with Investissement Québec (IQ).
Ensures governance of standardization processes and compliance with accreditor requirements.
Oversees all activities related to the development, revision, and publication of standards documents.
Guides the planning and management of the standardization project portfolio, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
Ensures the implementation and monitoring of consultation, validation, and approval mechanisms for standards.
Ensures that standards projects carried out under their leadership align with Investissement Québec’s mission and governance rules.
Collaborates with the VP, Innovation business development team to promote the services of their division.
Develops and maintains business networks with various organizations, groups, and associations that contribute to the division’s sectors and represents Investissement Québec’s standardization activities to them.
Coordinates, with the quality team, the implementation of the quality management system and the maintenance of accreditation for their technical area.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline relevant to standardization activities, such as law, technical writing, engineering, or another pertinent field.
Minimum of ten years of professional experience, including at least two years in drafting or publication activities and at least two years of relevant management experience.
Knowledge of the standards/normalization environment.
Knowledge of the government ecosystem.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and a strong ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
