Support building envelope projects including testing, rehabilitation, new construction, and commissioning.
Prepare drawing and specifications for building envelope rehabilitation and repair projects.
Perform building envelope condition assessments and leak investigations and write associated reports outlining observations and repair recommendations.
Perform field testing to confirm building enclosure performance such as water, air leakage, EFVM, and infrared testing.
Perform project contract drawing reviews including drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and material submittals, meeting with design and construction teams to discuss the same.
Provide construction contract administration consulting services including attending preconstruction meetings and Owner Architect Contractor meetings and documenting discussions, reviewing and replying to request for information.
Review and report on project visual and performance mock-ups.
Perform periodic site visits and utilize a site visit reporting system to identify and update building construction action items.
Support client management including conducting business development to secure revenue-generating projects, the preparation of proposals and establishment and management of project financial budgets.
Manage projects including production of deliverables, project budgets, forecasting, and billing.
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Building Science, Architectural Science, or a related field, and 6 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Building Science, Architectural Science, or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience with the following: Building commissioning processes in accordance with ASTM industry standards; Providing condition assessments of buildings, campuses, and property portfolios; Developing templates and processes for Building enclosure commissioning practice; ASTM Standards related to building enclosure testing; Executing ASTM building enclosure performance testing; and Using THERM, Window and Optics, WUFI Pro, SolidWorks and Siemens Nx.
Must have one of the following: a valid designation as Qualified Commissioning Process Provider (QCxP), Building Enclosure Commissioning Process Provider (BECxP), Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) with Building Enclosure (BE) specialization, or Certified Building Enclosure Commissioning Provider (CBECxP).
Must have Level 1 Infrared Thermographer Certification.
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week.
Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 40%.
