Serve as a systems engineer and carry out activities in the pneumatics discipline.
Ensure integration and interface management of assigned systems and coordinate with internal groups and suppliers.
Define pneumatic system architecture, prepare specifications and requirements, perform functional modeling and comparative technical studies.
Manage, validate, and verify requirements.
Manage suppliers from both project and technical perspectives.
Review and approve design documents such as supplier drawings, test procedures, acceptance procedures, qualification reports, and certification documents.
Analyze documents and results from ground and flight tests.
Prepare technical reports to demonstrate compliance with applicable certification requirements.
Support the construction and operation of test platforms (test benches, flight test vehicles).
Work within a multidisciplinary team to address product definition or problem resolution.
Prepare design change modifications and optimized solutions.
Support production and in-service teams in troubleshooting system-related issues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Ideally 5 to 10 years of relevant technical experience in an aerospace engineering field.
Excellent knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics concepts.
Ability to quickly understand complex problems and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of pneumatics and interface technical disciplines such as system installation, avionics, propulsion/powerplant, and others.
Familiarity with component qualification standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810).
Knowledge of design assurance processes (ARP4754A).
Experience with functional modeling and system performance testing.
Comfortable with both technical engineering aspects and project management.
Proficient with MS Office tools.
Familiarity with system design tools such as model-based engineering and simulation software.
