Establish and lead the stock administration function, including policies, processes, controls, and systems
Lead the transition from an existing legacy equity platform to a scalable, public-company-ready equity administration system, including vendor selection, data migration, testing, and go-live
Own cap table integrity and equity data accuracy throughout the platform transition and beyond
Design, implement, and manage global equity compensation programs (e.g., stock options, RSUs, public-company, ESPP readiness)
Oversee the full equity lifecycle: grants, vesting, exercises, cancellations, terminations, modifications, and settlements
Partner with Finance and Legal to support public-company readiness, including disclosures, governance, internal controls, and audit requirements
Ensure accurate and timely equity accounting in accordance with ASC 718 and public-company standards
Oversee 409A valuation processes and ensure ongoing compliance
Manage relationships with external vendors, including equity platforms, valuation firms, tax advisors, and external auditors
Partner closely with People, Benefits & Compensation, and Recruiting to ensure equity programs are clearly communicated and well understood
Prepare equity processes and systems to be SOX-ready and scalable for a public-company environment
Leverage automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled tools to improve data validation, reconciliation, reporting, and operational efficiency
Apply sound judgment around the use of AI in equity administration, with a focus on data integrity, security, explainability, and appropriate controls
Requirements
10+ years of experience in stock administration, equity compensation, or related roles
Proven experience building and scaling an equity administration function in a high-growth company
Hands-on experience leading a transition from a legacy equity platform to a modern, public-company-ready equity system
Direct experience supporting IPO readiness and/or operating as a public company
Deep knowledge of equity compensation plans, cap table management, and related tax and regulatory requirements
Strong understanding of equity accounting (ASC 718) and internal control frameworks
Experience administering equity programs across multiple countries and jurisdictions
Demonstrated ability or strong mindset toward using AI, automation, and advanced tooling to improve accuracy, efficiency, and insight in equity operations
High attention to detail combined with the ability to manage complex projects and timelines
Clear, confident communicator who can explain equity concepts to employees, executives, and the Board
Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, less-structured environment.
