About this role
Role Overview
Provide senior leadership for security strategy, operations, and risk management across APAC/China
Oversee physical security, travel security, crisis management, and incident response across APAC markets
Assess and mitigate regional security risks, including geopolitical, operational, and site-specific threats
Serve as the primary security advisor to regional leadership
Lead and develop regional security teams and external security partners
Establish governance, standards, and metrics for security practices
Partner with Legal, HR, Supply Chain, IT, and Business leaders for secure operations
Manage investigations, executive protection, and crisis response activities
Support transformation, separation, and change initiatives impacting security operations
Manage regional security budgets, resources, and vendor relationships
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Business, Criminal Justice, International Relations, or a related field (required)
Typically 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate security, risk management, or related leadership roles
Proven experience leading regional or global security programs, preferably across APAC and China
Strong understanding of geopolitical risk, crisis management, and security operations in complex markets
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and operate effectively in a matrixed organization
Experience managing third-party security providers and external stakeholders
Strong leadership, judgment, and decision-making capabilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
English proficiency required; Mandarin or other APAC languages preferred
Travel: Up to 25–30% international travel across APAC and China.
Professional security or risk certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) preferred.
