About this role
Role Overview
Build and strategically grow sales activities with major retail companies across the DACH region and Europe
Identify, qualify and develop enterprise accounts with a focus on long-term, partnership-based customer relationships
Manage the entire sales cycle – from initial contact through proposal preparation (including RFI/RFP) to contract signing
Work closely with management, PreSales, architecture, delivery and product teams to develop tailored solution concepts
Deliver pitches, presentations and workshops at C-level
Contribute to the development of sales strategy, market positioning and partner network
Use and maintain CRM systems to manage pipeline, forecasts and account strategies
Requirements
More than 5 years' experience selling complex IT or software solutions to enterprise customers (ideally in retail or omnichannel environments)
Strong understanding of retail processes (POS, checkout, payments, loyalty, ERP integration, omnichannel)
Experience with tender processes (RFI/RFP) and decision-making structures in the enterprise segment
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German and English – confident at C-level
Highly self-motivated, strong closing skills and strategic thinker
Willingness to travel within Europe
Basic technical understanding and ideally a degree in (business) informatics, computer science or a related field
Familiarity with Solution Selling, Value Selling or Strategic Account Management is a plus
Existing contacts in the retail industry (e.g., grocery, fashion, DIY, consumer electronics) are a plus
