Visit operating centres to independently assess compliance processes, documentation, and record‑keeping
Provide regular compliance reports to operational leadership teams and support formal audits, reporting any non‑compliance
Review key areas such as driver and vehicle documentation, vehicle defect reporting, drivers’ hours compliance, load security, qualifications, safety culture, medical processes, and gate checks
Support rollout of new compliance processes, procedures, and operational training
Assist operational teams with driver briefings and understanding of company compliance policies
Ensure that operational teams have scheduled driver CPC training and monitor compliance to ensure that drivers complete the recertification process every 5 years
Requirements
A valid Transport Managers CPC Qualification
In-depth knowledge of transport compliance regulations (O-Licence)
Background in Fleet Operations
Experience in compliance monitoring or transport operations (desirable)
Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and advise operational teams how to implement
Strong analytical and auditing skills
A full UK driving licence
