The Director of Events and Alumni Engagement plans and executes SFS events and activities that support the student, alumni, and public relations goals established by the SFS Dean and the Executive Director of External Relations and Marketing
The Director works with the Executive Director to establish an annual strategy of community engagement events to be hosted or sponsored by the SFS Dean’s Office
This position works closely with the constituent academic units of the School to provide guidance and consultation on program events
The position provides or leads logistical support for select program events at the Dean’s discretion
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in major event planning and management and outreach initiatives
Knowledge of protocol and etiquette required
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and a commitment to outstanding customer service are expected
Experience in university events management and alumni relations is highly desirable
Experience working with high-level officials from public and private sectors
