Review all equity research documents prior to publication to ensure compliance with FINRA, SEC, and internal standards
Collaborate with Research Analysts, Associates, Editors, and Compliance to ensure timely and accurate publication of research materials
Provide editorial and regulatory guidance to research staff to enhance the quality and clarity of published content
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices related to research publication
Serve as a subject matter expert on research compliance and editorial standards within the firm
Coordinate with compliance and legal teams to resolve content-related issues and ensure proper disclosures are included
Assist in the development and refinement of internal policies and procedures related to research publishing
Support the onboarding and training of new research team members on publishing protocols and regulatory requirements
Participate in internal meetings and contribute to strategic discussions around research content, workflow efficiency, and quality control
Provide after-hours coverage during earnings season and other high-volume periods to ensure timely publication of research
Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience as a Supervisory Analyst, Research Analyst, or Research Associate
FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE) Series 16 license (required)
Strong editing and proofreading skills with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and compliance
Solid understanding of financial statements, equity research methodologies, and valuation concepts
Familiarity with FINRA, SEC, and other regulatory bodies governing research publication
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively across departments
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Windows-based software; familiarity with research platforms is a plus
Willingness to work non-standard hours, including evenings, particularly during quarterly earnings periods
Strong team orientation with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
