Manage the entire lifecycle of a specific information services project
Assign personnel to various projects; direct or coordinate their activities
Interface activities of development team with all other departments and vendors
Prepare activity and progress reports
Provide general consulting and problem-solving services
Act as a single point of contact for various departments to ensure coordination among the departments and maintain overall responsibility for project deliverables while upholding project management standards and best practices
Coach, lead, and mentor project management staff including evaluation and delegation of project tasks
Work in tandem with program and project leadership to establish practices, templates, policies, resource management, tools and highly visible project reporting and presentations
Coordinate internal resources and vendors to provide accurate and precise execution of projects
Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within agreed project scope
Liaise with information services project management leadership and project stakeholders to report and escalate risks as needed
Coordinate detailed risk management and mitigation with project team
Develop, maintain, and track project status reports, statements of work, scoping documentation and other relevant documentation as needed
Ensure assigned projects support the organizational and departmental goals
Maintain and enhance professional competency and contribute to division wide efforts
Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
High school diploma required
7 years of experience in information technology; OR 6 years of experience in project management
Preferred: 5 years of experience in information technology project management
Certifications Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB), ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or related certification with bachelor’s degree; OR Master’s degree
Proficiency in using computers, web-based applications, and software, including but not limited to Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
Excellent judgment, decision-making, delegating and leadership skills
Analytical skills and logical through process in order to formulate practical solutions to problems
Positive interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and professionally work with people from all backgrounds
Ability to travel throughout and between facilities
Ability to work variable schedule, such as nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, etc.
