Manage accounting and corporate compliance for French entities
Collection and processing of accounting documents to ensure correct and fast processing.
Reviewing work performed by Building PM accounting (external or internal).
Perform periodic, month-end, and year-end general ledger postings in accordance with local GAAP, prepayments, deferrals, accruals; prepare comprehensive audit support documentation.
Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including bank reconciliations, vendor accounts, purchase orders, job costing. Capex accounting, Fixed Asset register.
Invoice processing, ensuring compliance with Group P2P policies:
Booking of G&A invoices.
Approval of Building PM invoices (in line with group DoA).
Prepare, review, and manage the filing of the annual statutory accounts with the external Chartered Surveyor Firm and statutory auditor. Review annual general meetings with Legal advisor.
Continuously assess and improve financial processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and automation.
Responsible for all French tax compliance.
Prepare, review, and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant submission of all tax filings and related payments (CIT, VAT, CVAE, DAS2, IFU, CFE etc). Prepare and monitor VAT refund claims.
Communication with tax authorities: participate in VAT audits, tax authority enquiries, and inspections, supporting documentation and reconciliation activities.
Manage VAT registrations and deregistrations with French tax authorities.
Overview and check of Real Estate and Office taxes (done by Building PM accounting).
Collaborate closely with Asset Management, Property Management, Treasury Corporate, and Tax Corporate teams. Act as a finance business partner to management and other departments, providing financial insight and support.
Support post-acquisition integration and disposal activities from an accounting and reporting perspective.
Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
Participation in ad-hoc projects related to new systems or process optimizations: assist in the testing and rollout of new systems and automated solutions.
Support internal, and group external audits by liaising with finance controlling team.
Requirements
Degree in Accounting (Master’s level or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, exposure to real estate industry is considered as an asset.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
Experience with ERP systems (Yardi is a plus).
Proficient use of MS Office (especially Excel).
Languages: French (native or bilingual level), English (very good professional working knowledge)
