Create, update, and maintain product specifications and related technical attributes required for product packaging execution, commercialization, and operational readiness for new and existing products.
Execute specification and master data migration activities into the new PLM solution, including data mapping, cleansing, transformation, loading, and post-load validation in accordance with defined governance and workflows.
Organize and analyze formulation, processing, and specification parameters to ensure operational and regulatory compliance requirements are met and accurately reflected within PLM/PDM workflows.
Partner with R&D, Packaging, Regulatory, FSQA, Operations, and Business Operations to obtain, verify, and maintain required inputs (e.g., ingredient/processing details, label statements, claims support, nutrition attributes) to enable compliant packaging and label readiness.
Provide regulatory and compliance support by communicating requirements and data-driven guidance to stakeholders; apply sound judgment in critical situations where inaccurate information could delay approvals or disrupt production.
Troubleshoot and respond quickly to PLM/PDM and legacy system interface issues; coordinate resolution with project team/IT and communicate impacts to affected teams to keep product work moving.
Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation and data traceability, including version control, data quality checks, and adherence to defined PLM governance, change control, and approval workflows.
Analyze, interpret, and present data (e.g., specification completeness, migration status, compliance gaps) for effective communication to business partners and R&D/FSQA leadership.
Requirements
Experience creating and maintaining product specifications and critical technical data within structured workflows (PLM/PDM preferred).
Demonstrated ability to organize, cleanse, and validate large data sets; strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
Knowledge of regulatory labeling and compliance concepts; previous experience with USDA/FSIS label approval processes is a plus.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply sound judgment in high-impact compliance or production situations.
Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project timelines.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate with functional partners and business unit leadership.
PhD with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
M.S. with minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
B.S. with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
