The Research Analyst will play a cross-functional role on the KGI team, synthesizing academic findings across disciplines, contributing to original research, and supporting KGI's work on online platforms and generative AI.
In addition to synthesizing published research, the Research Analyst will help craft KGI’s policy communications for state, federal, and international audiences.
The Research Analyst will also support the curation and organization of workshops, convenings, and conferences involving leading experts working at the intersection of technology, policy, and research.
A successful candidate will have strong analytical and research skills with the ability to work across multiple projects.
The ideal candidate will excel at research synthesis and collaboration.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any field with coursework experience related to technology and policy
3-5 years of relevant experience in research, data analysis, or a related area
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information from multiple disciplines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear research summaries and reports
Experience conducting literature reviews and synthesizing academic research
Demonstrated interest in technology research, including topics such as platform governance, algorithmic systems, or AI policy
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across disciplines
Proven ability to take initiative independently, advance multiple projects, and meet deadlines
Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn
Proficiency in Google Suite products and a quick learning curve to adapt to new programs.
