You are responsible for the accurate and timely general ledger and fixed-asset accounting for our international entities in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) — from day-to-day bookings to financial statement preparation.
You independently prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under HGB and contribute to VAT filings and Intrastat/summary reports (ZM) for our German and foreign entities.
You review accounts payable and receivable ledgers and ensure that accounting systems and invoicing run smoothly.
You serve as the primary point of contact for other departments on accounting-related questions — whether invoicing, intercompany allocations or ad-hoc requests.
You prepare meetings with tax advisors and auditors and produce financial data for investor reports.
You support controlling and reporting, prepare variance analyses and develop recommendations to improve our KPI framework.
You actively drive the automation and digitization of accounting processes and contribute to the implementation of new tools.
Requirements
Completed commercial training, a degree in business administration or a comparable qualification — further training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte) or certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) is a plus.
Several years of accounting experience, ideally in a FinTech or startup.
Solid knowledge of HGB accounting and experience preparing monthly management reports (BWA) and annual financial statements.
Proficient with MS Office — especially Excel — and common accounting systems such as DATEV and LucaNET; experience with Yokoy or cash-management tools is an advantage.
Strong numerical and technical affinity — you quickly adapt to new tools and systems.
Fluent German and very good English skills, both written and spoken.
Interest in international accounting and the ability to work flexibly and solution-oriented in a dynamic environment.
