Shape the vision and strategy for AI-powered insights and analytics across Canvas and the broader Instructure ecosystem, driving the shift from descriptive reporting to proactive, AI-first intelligence.
Own and lead key areas of the roadmap spanning curated, action-oriented insights and self-service, conversational analytics experiences, from discovery through delivery, adoption, and scale.
Drive the evolution of AI-powered analytics capabilities, including natural language querying, automated insight generation, summarization, and predictive intelligence.
Build a coherent experience across a growing ecosystem, ensuring insights become richer as customers adopt more of the Instructure platform and connect additional data sources.
Develop a deep understanding of the needs of educators, administrators, and institutional leaders, and champion those needs in strategic and day-to-day product decisions.
Partner closely with engineering and the data platform to ensure accuracy, trust, and reliability of AI-generated insights, including monitoring model performance and reducing regressions over time.
Establish and track success metrics that reflect real-world impact: engagement, decision speed, intervention effectiveness, and trust in data.
Collaborate across product, design, engineering, and go-to-market teams to deliver cohesive AI-first analytics experiences.
Apply modern product practices and AI-enabled workflows to accelerate learning cycles, experimentation, and delivery.
Requirements
5+ years of product management experience, ideally in analytics, data platforms, AI-driven products, or edtech environments where outcomes and trust are critical.
Proven track record of owning and driving complex product areas, delivering measurable impact from strategy through execution.
Strong understanding of data systems, analytics workflows, and BI concepts, including experience with SQL-based or semantic-layer-driven products.
Experience leading AI-powered or data-intensive products, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, interpretability, and user trust.
Strong product judgment and customer empathy, with the ability to represent the needs of educators, administrators, and institutional stakeholders.
Comfort working in ambiguous, complex environments, bringing structure, clarity, and momentum.
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, aligning cross-functional teams across engineering, data, design, and go-to-market at multiple levels of the organization.
A pragmatic, experiment-driven mindset—you move quickly from ideas to learning, and from learning to impact.
Experience in education technology is a strong plus.
