Responsible for assuring quality service to all program participants
Preparing meals and serving meals to clients
Receiving and inventorying foods, equipment, and janitorial cleaning supplies
Training and directing the work of others in the kitchen
Performing all work duties in a cost-effective and service-oriented manner
Documenting and reporting all variations in food preparations and meal delivery
Completing and maintaining all records related to safety and incident reports
Monitoring inventory of program equipment and supplies
Requirements
Two or more years of related experience
Institutional kitchen experience is strongly preferred
Prior experience with supervising and giving directions to others
Working knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety measures
Ability to communicate and comprehend oral and written instructions
General knowledge of issues and challenges unique to homelessness, substance abuse, young adults, minorities, and people with disabilities is preferred
Valid California driver's license and ability to meet the organization’s insurance carrier guidelines
