You will ensure the smooth running of logistics processes in the BMW Group's international production network in the area of series production.
This involves initiating, preparing and participating in logistical problem-solving meetings, as well as cooperating with material control, quality and specialized purchasing.
You will be responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of development measures in the suppliers’ process, and making sure that they are reaching the targets in regards of logistics maturity level.
In this position you will be visiting and evaluating suppliers and select them after the project assessment.
You will be responsible at a group level across multiple locations and entities (global plant sites at the BMW AG and suppliers all over the world).
You will be integrated in an international operating team and perform also for other BMW Group entities.
Requirements
Education background – successfully completed studies in industrial engineering, business administration, preferably specializing in logistics and mechanical engineering, successfully completed vocational training in the commercial, industrial or technical field or a comparable qualification.
Openness to travel – the position involves visiting suppliers, so flexibility regarding business trips is required.
Work experience – several years of experience in a supply chain related position, preferably from an international environment.
Language Skills – business-fluent English; German proficiency is an advantage.
Technical knowledge – knowledge of material planning and supply chain processes, experience in working with ERP systems, familiriaty with SAP would be a plus.
Confident usage of MS Office is a must have.
Soft Skills – team and communication skills are crucial, having a structured way of thinking and confident appearance are also expected.
