Business Analyst, Clinical Analyst, Coding Specialist

Role Overview

• Support Medicaid policy and coding analysis
• Serve as SME for medical coding compliance and updates
• Perform analysis of medical coding changes
• Prepare and distribute coding change listings
• Collaborate with policy owners and stakeholders
• Participate in MMIS modernization meetings
• Maintain business rules and coding documentation
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience
• Strong experience in medical coding
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare insurance
• 5+ years of experience working with IT developers/programmers
• 5+ years of hands-on medical coding experience
• 3+ years clinical experience in a healthcare environment
• Current, active licensure as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina
• Certification as CPC or CCS
• Proficiency in ICD-10 demonstrated by exam or certification within one year
