Serve as the director of the U.S. Coast Guard Child Development (CDC) at Base Kodiak
Function as the focal point for child development services and family childcare programs
Manage compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations
Ensure ongoing interpretation of program developments and children's needs
Develop and refine methods and techniques for child development services
Collaborate with local union representation and manage multiple funding sources

Bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education or a combination of education and experience
Experience in managing an entire cycle of operation of an early childhood program
Current certification in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
A valid driver’s license
Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds and over
Ability to satisfactorily complete Tier 1 background investigation
Ability to satisfactorily pass the Civilian Medical Clearance Examination
