About this role
Role Overview
- Handle Asia & EU shifts to support Windows L2 support
- Weekend & On-call support to manage prod changes & incidents
- Handle Hardware Breakfix with coordination with Microsoft & Cisco/HPE
- Prepare and implement scheduled system changes during off-hours/weekends
- Handle user requests related to Windows Platform
- Manage prod issues, attend bridge calls with app & infra teams
- Escalate and liaise with engineering for troubleshooting issues
- Collaborate with regional peers for change planning & implementation
- Handle production outages/incidents in line with ITIL practices
Requirements
- Overall experience of 3-8 years working on L2 Support for Win Server 2016/2019/2022 Administration
- Good working experience & hands-on knowledge of Windows Server environments
- Experience with VMware vSphere and Hyper-V virtualization (2-3 years)
- Basic storage & VM datastore knowledge (SAN, NAS, iSCSI)
- Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) experience
- Working experience with large-scale server environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve OS & server level issues
- Basic understanding for regular tasks automation using PowerShell, Group Policy, and SCCM
- Active Directory: Domain controller management, DNS, DHCP
- IIS Administration: Web server configuration and troubleshooting
- Windows Updates: WSUS management and patch deployment
- Backup & Recovery: Windows Server Backup, snapshot experience
- Security: Windows Defender, firewall configuration, certificate management
- Experience with Cisco and HPE servers is an added advantage
- Japanese language knowledge will be an advantage
- Excellent English written, verbal, and presentation skills
