Assessing, validating, settling or declining claims within your delegated authority, always applying sound technical reasoning and insurance liability principles.
Diagnosing structural defects and the causes of damage using information gathered by surveyors, suppliers and other specialists.
Requirements
A recognised professional building qualification (e.g., MICE, MRICS, MCIOB, MIStructE, MCABE) or active progression toward one.
Relevant experience will also be considered.
Strong technical knowledge of structural defects and subsidence‑related issues.
The ability to diagnose building damage remotely using supplied evidence.
Experience within the insurance industry and a solid understanding of liability considerations.
Confident negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to gain agreement from multiple stakeholders.
A problem‑solving mindset, able to evaluate complex information and make sound decisions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise effectively.
High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
A flexible, self‑motivated approach and the ability to work independently.
