Designs, develops, and delivers end-user HRIS training (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, SAP ECC, QuatroSafety, LRIS) using instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning formats, applying adult learning principles and AODA standards
Develops and maintains accessible training materials (e.g., job aids, user guides, presentations, eLearning) using tools such as Adobe Captivate and Visio to support system and process changes
Plans, coordinates, and tracks training delivery, participation, and course registration through the corporate LMS (ELI/Cornerstone), ensuring content accuracy and alignment with delivery schedules
Provides day-to-day HRIS application support to P&E staff, City divisions, and external applicants; resolves inquiries, escalates issues, and coordinates system access in partnership with system owners
Analyzes support trends and recurring issues to inform improvements to training, documentation, and support resources
Collaborates with corporate partners (e.g., Technical Services Division, TEAM Central, system owners) to ensure timely and consistent issue resolution
Maintains and organizes a centralized HRIS knowledge centre (e.g., SuccessFactors Knowledge Centre) to support intuitive self-service and reduce reliance on direct support channels (e.g., in-person, email, and phone inquiries)
Conducts needs assessments and analyzes user feedback and support data to identify improvement opportunities and enhance training, documentation, and support approaches
Establishes and maintains standards for learning content and job aids to ensure consistency and quality
Coordinates HRIS training and support activities aligned with system updates, business priorities, and biannual releases
Partners with technical teams and system owners to support system enhancements, testing, and adoption
Leads or contributes to small/medium-sized HRIS initiatives and builds strong relationships with P&E stakeholders and corporate partners.
Requirements
Considerable experience designing, developing, and delivering end-user training on software applications in a large, complex organization
Experience providing technical support to end users in an operational environment
Experience working with clients to conduct training needs assessments and business process analysis, including developing process and system documentation
Considerable experience delivering structured training in systems or technical environments, including planning and facilitating training sessions, developing instructional materials, and effectively communicating complex technical information to diverse user groups.
Experience using eLearning development tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate) to create digital learning content
Demonstrated proficiency using standard software applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
Ability to work effectively in a team environment supporting training, operations, and system initiatives
Demonstrated ability to initiate, organize, coordinate, and deliver small to medium-scale projects or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of adult learning principles and modern training approaches is considered an asset
Formal education in adult education, human resources, or a related field, and/or relevant certification is considered an asset
Working knowledge of P&E policies, procedures, collective agreements, and legislative requirements is considered an asset.
