Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing and correcting payroll transactions for specific countries as assigned.
Activities include supporting pre-payroll activities, reviewing and verifying files generated internally for monthly payroll run, enforcing key payroll deadlines.
Respond to internal AbbVie stakeholders with regards to payroll data and/or payroll reports.
Lead smaller global, regional, and country specific projects and participate on global project teams.
Some travel may be required.

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Finance / Accounting.
Min. 5 years of payroll operational experience in Belgian payroll.
Working knowledge of Belgian payroll, time and absence, profit sharing general rules.
Ability to apply them in practice for regular situations.
Working knowledge of Workday and experience integrating with 3rd party applications.
Strong customer orientation and a work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
Strong written and oral communication skills, in English.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Good analytical and process diagnostic skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills in French.
Preferably some hands-on experience with projects relating to payroll implementations.
