Medical Billing Associate – Intern

Role Overview

• Assist with Australian medical billing workflows and processes
• Support billing data entry, reconciliation, and validation activities
• Review billing information for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with identifying discrepancies and resolving billing-related issues
• Work with internal teams to support operational and billing tasks
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
• Communicate professionally with team members and stakeholders
• Learn and follow Australian healthcare billing procedures and compliance standards

Requirements

• Currently following or recently completed a degree/diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• Strong numerical and analytical thinking ability
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Good logical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English communication skills, spoken and written
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong work ethic, accountability, and reliability
• Basic computer literacy and confidence using systems and spreadsheets
• Exposure to finance, accounting, or operational environments (Preferred, Not Mandatory)\n
• Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills (Preferred, Not Mandatory)\n
• Interest in healthcare operations or business services (Preferred, Not Mandatory)\n
• Previous internship or part-time work experience (Preferred, Not Mandatory)
