Revenue Specialist I

Role Overview

• Perform duties for revenue operations department related to medical insurance billing, collections or patient access
• Communicate with patients and insurance payers to ensure proper insurance coverage
• Review and submit system setup requests for accurate billing
• Respond timely and accurately to payer communications
• Collaborate with revenue operations teams for seamless processes
• Partner with clinics' teammates for timely insurance information
• Identify process changes and opportunities for improvement
• Maintain patient account information and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• ROPS revenue cycle management experience
• Knowledge of revenue cycle, insurance rules, and regulations for federal, state, and/or managed care payers in multiple states
• Knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement practices
• Usage of DaVita billing and reimbursement systems
• Basic medical reimbursement terminology
• Basic knowledge of healthcare reimbursement accounting principles
