Own the ‘how’ by getting hands-on with solution design, creating detailed process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and user stories to turn high-level concepts into fully scoped, developer-ready features.
Champion an iterative delivery strategy by breaking down large projects into smaller, self-contained components.
Ensure each release delivers real value and builds the foundation for future enhancements.
Work with the Head of Product to help evaluate, prioritise, and track product ideas, feature requests, and continuous improvements across the roadmap.
Scope and define new projects by breaking down complex initiatives into actionable tasks, helping to manage timelines, resource needs, and key deliverables.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration by working closely with developers, designers, operations, and stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely product delivery.
Translate feedback and ideas into clear requirements, ensuring customer needs and internal insights are documented as user stories, acceptance criteria, or product specs for the development team.
Support testing, QA, and feature rollout, helping to identify bugs, edge cases, or usability gaps to ensure a polished, high-quality user experience at launch.
Maintain organised product documentation, keeping tools like Jira, Confluence, or Notion up to date with relevant tasks, project notes, and development progress.
Advocate for the customer perspective across all stages of development, helping the team stay focused on solving real user problems and delivering meaningful value.
Contribute to data-informed decisions by assisting in the collection and analysis of product usage metrics, customer feedback, and performance trends.
Requirements
4+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience in the lending industry (ideally within residential mortgages).
Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Clear and confident communication, both written and verbal.
A proactive, can-do attitude and comfort with ambiguity.
Interest in technology and product development—you don’t need to be technical, but you enjoy working with technical teams.
Bonus points for: Any exposure to tools like Jira, Trello, Notion, or similar. Startup or scaleup experience.
