Marketing Event Specialist

Role Overview

• Onsite and online event coordination supporting marketing and sales efforts
• Start to finish event and conference planning activities
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
• Manage attendee data throughout the event planning process
• Provide onsite support for events and conferences
• Perform event close out activities
• Oversee and track event expenditure
• Conduct research and identify net new experiences and systems
• Propose new ideas to improve event planning processes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with event vendors
• Provide clear communication to stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field from an accredited university
• 3-5+ years of event management experience, ideally in a professional services environment
• Flexible enough to frequently travel to events/conferences across the United States
• Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience using CRM and marketing automation tools (ideally Hubspot)
• Self-starter and a fast-learner, able to problem-solve on the fly and serve client and stakeholder needs without frequent hand-holding
• Interest in staying current with the latest event marketing methods and trends
• Design background a plus (Canva, Adobe in design)
• Outstanding attention to detail and strong organization skills
• Professional and customer-focused demeanor with an outgoing personality
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
