About this role
Role Overview
- Responsible for participating in a goal-driven, team-oriented, high-performance department
- Provide both technical and leadership support to internal business partners
- Develop short and long-term supply plans using complex computer-based modeling software
- Responsible for weekend/holiday coverage to provide recommendations for supply and demand imbalances
- Provides accurate daily system forecasts
- Performs in-depth analyses to evaluate NiSource’s portfolio of supply and capacity options
- Oversees performance and adequacy for the functionality of software systems, IT applications and data warehouses
Requirements
- BS/BA in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience
- Must be self-directed, have strong leadership skills
- Proven presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 (particularly Microsoft Excel
- pivot tables, macro creation, and statistical analysis)
- Master of Business Administration, Business Analytics, Accountancy, or equivalent business/data analytics graduate degree preferred
- Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in the utility industry specific to electric/natural gas markets, demand response, trading, and state/federal regulations
- Experience with process improvement, Six Sigma, and/or project management.
