Role Overview
Manage preconstruction activities, including design review, procurement, and bidding
Implement, oversee, and maintain quality assurance and quality control programs
Lead and support the successful execution of construction projects, ensuring delivery aligns with scope, schedule, and budget
Serve as the owner’s representative, managing program and project execution with a value-added approach
Conduct and attend project progress meetings, providing clear updates to stakeholders
Identify and mitigate construction risks, monitor project schedules, and control associated costs
Collaborate with business development teams to create proposals and marketing materials for new opportunities
Ensure timely invoicing and accurate cost reporting for assigned projects, maintaining budget controls
Develop, mentor, and manage field teams to ensure effective communication, teamwork, and execution
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements for all construction activities
Provide technical expertise in water and wastewater infrastructure, including reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction management and field operations, particularly in water and wastewater infrastructure
Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale infrastructure projects
Relevant certifications in water and wastewater construction management, such as CCM (Certified Construction Manager) or PE (Professional Engineer)
Extensive knowledge of construction principles, methods, and technologies related to water and wastewater facilities
Familiarity with alternative delivery methods, including CMAR, DB, and DBB
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations
Proficiency in project management software and field inspection tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to clients, public groups, and internal teams
Strong problem-solving abilities, including data analysis and decision-making under pressure
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and mentor staff
Ability to prepare and manage budgets, contracts, and project costs effectively
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (greater than 50%)
