Receive, review, and record invoices using platforms such as Bill.com, Beanworks, QuickBooks, and Odoo.
Track invoice approvals and follow up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely processing.
Prepare AP aging reports to support payment scheduling and cash flow management.
Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual U.S. sales and use tax returns.
Coordinate and initiate electronic tax payments to meet state and local deadlines.
Maintain databases tracking filing statuses, nexus thresholds, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
Monitor sales volumes and transaction counts to proactively identify economic nexus changes.
Research and respond to tax notices, inquiries, and penalty assessments.
Stay up to date on changes in tax regulations and support compliance efforts.
Requirements
Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken).
Background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
2–4 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, tax, or finance-related roles.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and follow established processes.
Proactive mindset and willingness to continuously learn.
Bonus Points For: Experience with Bill.com, Beanworks, QuickBooks, Odoo, or similar platforms. Familiarity with U.S. sales and use tax compliance. Previous experience supporting multiple clients or entities. Experience working in a startup or FinTech environment.
