About this role

Authorize initial admitting and conduct concurrent reviews for medical necessity
Collaborate with outpatient providers and other reviewers
Utilize clinical experience and collaboration skills
Conduct telephonic or electronic document review
Monitor quality of care concerns
Educate and recommend alternative care plans for treatment not meeting medical necessity criteria

Master's degree in social work, counseling or related field
Independent or associate licensure in one of the following: Social work, professional counseling or marriage and family
Licenses include: LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LAC, or Licensed Psychologist
3 years clinical experience (i.e. counseling, care management, case management, care coordination)
Working knowledge of care management and case management
Critical thinking skills
Problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills
Time management skills
Ability to work effectively independently and in interdisciplinary team format
