About this role
Role Overview
- Responsible for billing Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Insurance for behavioral health services
- Develop procedures and provide supervision, direction, and oversight for the billing, coding, and provider paneling functions
- Work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Attend in-person meetings within Kent County as required
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology or related field
- At least 3-5 years of medical billing and/or coding experience
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Insurance
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management
- Certification as a biller or coder from an accredited organization (preferred)
- Experience managing a business function (preferred)
- Supervisory experience (preferred)
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued (preferred)
