Oversees custodial and housekeeping activities within several facilities.
Manages remote location clinics.
Frequently visits various sites located around Southeast Alaska.
Reviews job orders and specifications to determine material and labor to complete the project.
Assists in coordinating the activities of employees in custodial and housekeeping to utilize staff, materials and equipment.
Manages inventory, orders, and material shipments to local facilities and remote clinic locations.
Regularly tours and inspects the facility to ensure total quality management requirements in custodial and housekeeping operations.
Responds to the requests of the Custodial Manager and Facility Manager.
Maintains compliance with ARAMARK’s standards of operation, client and within ARAMARK’s Business Conduct Policy.
Maintains all records and reports necessary to regulations and codes.
Maintains compliance with all requirements of Federal, State and local regulations and guidelines including the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended.
Understands departmental expenses such as supply needs and labor costs to maintain budget conditions.
Ensures the accuracy of employee timesheets.
Ensures that all areas are properly stocked with supplies.
May assist in the training and development of employees.
Performs all other related duties.
Requirements
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
2–5 years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, or Environmental Services (EVS) operations
Healthcare, clinical, or multi-site experience preferred
At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience required
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Working knowledge of custodial equipment, cleaning processes, and safety standards
Strong organizational, time management, and basic computer skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and apply sound judgment to routine situations
