Role Overview
- Providing ongoing management, review and oversight of part of the existing portfolio of funded cases in the German speaking jurisdictions
- First-level assessment of potential merits of litigation funding opportunities, in which you will work closely with lawyers and claimants seeking funding
- Undertaking analysis of relevant legal issues or other issues as directed
- Conducting legal and factual due diligence on prospective funding opportunities and supporting the underwriting process
- Engaging with Omni colleagues across global offices on investment opportunities and company matters
Requirements
- Law degree and, preferably, admitted to practice
- Minimum 2 years post qualification litigation experience, specifically relating to German litigation
- Fluent in German and English
- Knowledge of the German courts and litigation process
- An understanding of (or a willingness to acquire an understanding of) financial reporting and the ability to financially analyze public and private companies and trust structures
