About this role
Role Overview
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and achieve hotel budget targets
Recruit, lead and manage the sales team to ensure sales activities are aligned to achieve overall goals and objectives
Establish and maintain positive relationships with guests, vendors, colleagues, and the worldwide sales network
Monitor sales production, analyze market data, and adjust sales strategies to meet planned goals
Review and approve group contracts, considering room availability, rates, and revenue objectives
Participate in trade shows, promotional events, and networking opportunities to develop new markets and identify potential clients
Analyze sales performance data, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management
Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring retention and repeat business
Serve as the primary relationship owner and strategic lead for top East Coast travel industry accounts
Conduct performance evaluations and follow up with sales and events personnel for development and coaching opportunities
Perform all supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the personnel assigned
Direct sales activities of the Hotel to achieve budgeted and assigned goals
Monitor and identify current and future business trends to ensure profitable sales
Requirements
Proven leadership experience in hotel sales, preferably in the luxury hospitality market for minimum of two years
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong relationships with top East Coast travel partners
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Results-oriented and self-motivated, with a passion for sales and achieving targets
Organized, disciplined, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
Fluent in English, with knowledge of Spanish being an advantage
Assertive and diplomatic approach to business relationships
Strong understanding of the local and regional hospitality industry
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
