Responsible for leading a team of satellite controllers in a dynamic spacecraft operations environment during the execution of 24/7 operations.
Ensure the health and safety of the SES owned and operated fleet in order to provide revenues from transponder operations and to maximize the capacity and longevity of the in-orbit assets.
Manage an operational staff of 7 Satellite Controllers and ensure their team executes operations in accordance with O&E Concept of Operations (ConOps).
Organize and support a 24/7 operational environment.
Provide a satellite fleet operational capability of the highest quality for customers.
Manage a technical staff of 5-7 Spacecraft Controllers.
Support and co-ordinate the availability and use of a diverse worldwide network of operational resources.
Identify and actively manage operational risk while making decisions in the best interest of SES business objectives.
Requirements
Technical/engineering degree in electronics, aeronautics or equivalent qualifications;
A high level of competency in satellite operations.
Have experience as controller and be certified/accredited would be a key advantage.
