Role Overview
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for finding, attracting and hiring top talent for the organization with a focus on construction field positions.
This role will partner with the talent team and hiring managers to understand specific hiring needs, craft detailed job descriptions and manage the entire recruitment cycle from sourcing to onboarding, creating a positive candidate experience while also fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M safety policies and procedures.
Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M employment policies and procedures including standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company.
Supports recruitment and hiring strategies across all business units.
Conducts monthly meetings with hiring managers to support and maintain workforce needs and plan for future talent needs.
In collaboration with hiring managers, develops and updates job descriptions.
Identifies EEO categories, FLSA status and appropriate compensation range.
Negotiates offers and manage the full hiring process of employees.
Regularly updates the HRIS and maintain accurate and timely records of all candidate interactions.
Provides periodic status updates on all candidates.
Leverages and utilizes innovative recruiting methods to attract high-quality candidates (i.e. social media, job boards, recruitment fairs, etc.)
Organizes and attends job fairs, recruitment events, and other talent outreach programs.
Identifies and tracks recruitment metrics and provide reports to management, as needed.
Facilitates cross-department collaboration to ensure alignment of hiring processes.
Ensures a positive and seamless candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
Submits regulatory new hire reports.
Develops and maintains professional relationships with trade schools, community colleges, and colleges/universities as a source for qualified applicants.
Collaborate with marketing and communications team to develop recruitment marketing strategies.
Promote the organization’s employer brand through social media and professional networks.
Collaborates with team members to continuously improve recruitment processes to enhance the candidate, new hire and manager experience.
Ensures timely completion of annual affirmative action plan.
Ensures legal compliance by monitoring applicable human resource federal and state requirements, maintaining records, representing the organization.
Provides training and guidance to hiring managers in reference to the applicant tracking system and interviewing techniques.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent years’ work experience.
Minimum three years’ work experience in human resources or in-house corporate recruiting field.
Experience using HR software or applicant tracking database required.
Proven experience as a recruiter or talent acquisition specialist.
Experience with full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques, applicant tracking systems and/or other recruitment tools.
Experience in negotiating offers and understanding compensation structures.
Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional, constructive manner.
Intermediate level computer literacy including word processing, formatting spreadsheets, processing emails and database management.
Ability to travel locally and overnight visits to satellite locations, job sites and/or career fairs, as needed.
Good organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
General knowledge of construction business desirable but not required.
