Identifies, builds, and maintains customer and stakeholder relationships.
Forecasts, meets, and exceeds assigned sales quota through direct sales of Owens & Minor products.
Grows and manages assigned accounts/territory efficiently and effectively.
Manages the relationship with each account in an effort to ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing identification of customer needs and expectations.
Pursues business opportunities to ensure retention of existing revenue, while widening product usage and increasing customer penetration for the company’s products.
Conducts sales presentations and product demonstrations via the phone and webinar tools.
Provides quotes and supports all aspects of the bidding process.
Maintains and corrects pricing for accuracy.
Closes sales in accordance with sales policies and procedures.
May partner with internal teams (such as the Client Engagement Center) to resolve customer service questions (e.g. AR research, large usage changes, etc.) or significant disruption issues requiring sales involvement.
Provides accurate pipeline management and reporting and execute tactical sales plans.
Thoroughly learns and maintains current knowledge of Owens & Minor products, services, and competitors’ landscape.
Communicates shipping schedules with Distribution Center
Logs sales activities into the Customer Relationship
Performs additional duties as directed.
Requirements
2 or more years of sales experience in Inside Sales, Business to Business Sales, Account Management, Healthcare Supply Chain, Healthcare Products, or a related industry
General knowledge of the supply chain/distribution industry
General understanding of hospitals and how large hospital systems operate
General knowledge of salesmanship, with ability to learn consultative selling techniques
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook)
Ability to learn CRM software and Account Management software systems (Salesforce) and utilize system to generate 90 interaction points per day to include telephone, email, virtual tools, chat, etc.
General knowledge of competitive products, pricing, strategy, accurate/appropriate market share, etc.
Ability to implement sales strategies
Ability to follow up and follow through to ensure customer commitments are kept
Ability to deliver effective product presentations through use of clear and accurate verbal and written communication
Awareness of applicable government regulations and their impact on the business
Ability to meet deadlines
Demonstrated project planning and organizational skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to recognize business or incremental sales opportunities
